The majority of vehicles on the market do not require these spacers. There are some vehicle models that place the hole for the pin closer to the front edge of the receiver that there is a larger gap between the receiver and the HItchSafe. This is usually when the manufacturer places a tire,etc. behind the receiver and thus condense the size of the receiver. These spacers fill that gap.

Not much to say. They keep the HitchSafe from rattling. Wore out the thinnest of the three so I replaced it.

Spacers for Hitchsafe
Three foam spacers are provided to provide the closest fit for the hitch safe so it doesn't rattle when attached. The middle thickness spacer did the job for me and with the free shipping, the spacers are a bargain. Add very quick delivery and the purchase was great!

Wish the HitchSafe would have come with enough spacers to begin with but PFL was about the only place I could find that had these. They were reasonably priced and shipping was quick

Needed accessory for 2015 Toyota Highlander
The HitchSafe I purchased didn't have enough spacers to make a waterproof installation. This kit gives more than enough extra spacers to make up the initial shortage. Fast delivery was appreciated.

Hitch safe is a great product. The only issue is that it does not fit bmw hitches. To use w/ bmw you have to grind the corners so that it fits the receiver.
