If you are trying to measure a current cam lock to replace, you simply need to remove the current cam lock and measure it as follows.
- Starting behind the head of the cam, measure along the cylinder to the inside face of the cam for cylinder length.
- Typical cylinder lengths are 5/8", 7/8", 1-1/8" and 1-3/8"
- Most of our cam locks have threads that go all the way to the cam (not like below) which means the difference between the material thickness and the length of the cylinder is usually 1/4" (1/4" required for cylinder nut to tighten).
- Cam length is measured from center of hole to end of cam.
